Privacy policy

CoveredYears is built to work without collecting personal data. This policy explains the little that is processed, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of personal data processed through this website is CoveredYears. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@coveredyears.com.

2. The calculator

The calculation runs entirely in your browser. The answers you enter (age, income, savings, insurance and so on) are never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.

Your browser keeps a copy of your last answers in its local storage, on your device only. If you use a shared computer, remove it with “Clear saved answers” at the bottom of the check page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your country is pre-selected using the approximate location that our hosting provider derives from your connection. Only a two-letter country code reaches the page; it is not stored.

3. Hosting and security

The website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and block attacks, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We do not use this data to identify you. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from automated traffic; it is not used for tracking or advertising.

4. Visitor statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not follow you across sites. We see only totals, such as how many people opened a page or started the check.

5. When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. We use them only to reply and to handle your request, including requests from businesses about a demo or partnership.

Our mail is handled by email service providers acting on our behalf: Cloudflare (receiving), Google (mailbox) and Brevo (sending). We keep correspondence for up to 12 months after our last exchange, then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we must keep it longer by law.

6. What we do not do

• No accounts, no sign-up and no newsletter.
• No advertising or tracking cookies, and no tracking pixels.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal data for marketing.
• No automated decisions about you; the calculator shows estimates only to you.

7. Transfers outside your country

Some of our providers process data in the United States. Cloudflare and Google are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and use standard contractual clauses; Brevo processes data in the European Union.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or give it to you in a portable format. Write to info@coveredyears.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

9. Age

CoveredYears is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly process data of children.

10. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Because the calculator stores nothing on our side, there is no database of your answers that could be lost or breached.

11. Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
